Bubba Watson has received a lot of attention since his Masters victory on Easter Sunday, and deservedly so. But he received so much new attention that he was forced to change his cell phone number.
According to Watson, he has been inundated with phone calls from people that he doesn’t even know and who shouldn’t even have his number. He went on the Scott Van Pelt Show this afternoon to discuss his Masters victory and the cell phone issues.
Bubba went on to say that the last straw to motivate him to finally change his number came from a radio show that he wouldn’t name. After arriving home after 3 AM he said he received 40 calls at 6 AM from this radio show and that was enough to cause him to make the change.
Russello joked that he hoped it wasn’t “Mike & Mike” and Bubba indicated that it was, but he didn’t want to “call you guys (ESPN) out”.
I have no idea if Bubba was joking about that accusation, but given their level of douchiness, it would not surprise me at all.
It was then learned that Greenberg of “Mike & Mike” follows “Glee” on Twitter. I know… Shocking, right?
If its true that someone from the show called him 40 times in a short period of time it’s amazing that they have any guests that aren’t ESPN employees.
