During the college football bowl season we saw a few schools take the field in special uniforms/jerseys. Not surprisingly the Oregon Ducks led the way. Michigan got in on the act as well. With March Madness in full swing it’s time for apparel companies to show us what they’ve got for basketball. Adidas announced that three of its schools will be hitting the floor in new, limited edition, adizero uniforms.
University of Cincinnati and University of Louisville will debut the adizero uniforms during the Big EAST Tournament March 6-10 at Madison Square Garden and Baylor University will wear their adizero uniform March 5-10 in Kansas City, Missouri for the Big 12 Conference Tournament. All three teams will continue to wear the uniforms for the NCAA Tournament beginning March 13.
This seems like a good time to mention that last fall we found out part of the reason why recruit Archie Goodwin was no longer considering Baylor.
“Coach Scott Drew is a great guy. I love Coach Drew. They were one of the first schools that were recruiting me. But I didn’t like that they were an adidas team, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t go to Kansas because Kansas is a great team. I can look over the adidas thing – I own some adidas stuff. I didn’t like their colors, either. I don’t like green and gold. That’s ugly …. When you got ugly colors like that, you gotta be Nike. …. Baylor has some ugly shoes, too.”
