While Super Bowl XLVI will be getting underway shortly to determine the NFL’s champion for this season another champion was crowned earlier this afternoon. The Los Angeles Temptation won Lingerie Bowl IX with a 28-6 victory over the Philadelphia Passion, their third consecutive Lingerie Football League championship. The Temptation had a 4-1 record during the regular season and were the top team in the Western Conference. The Passion finished 5-0 and were the East’s top team.

Los Angeles was up 14-0 at halftime thanks to a touchdown run by Amber Reed and pass from Ashley Salerno to Audrey Latsko, who is ironically from Philadelphia. Early in the second half wide receiver Whitney Paronish scored for the Passion to close the gap to 14-6 but the Temptation would answer with two touchdown passes by Salerno, one to Danielle Harvey the other to Amber Reed to complete the scoring. Temptation running back Amber Reed and quarterback Ashley Salerno were named Co-MVP’s.

At media day Monique Gaxiola, Ashley Salerno, Chloe Butler, and Tessa Barrera of the Temptation sat down with Jim Wallin to preview the game.
