According to a report from the LA Times, veteran free agent forward Kenyon Martin has agreed to a mini mid- level deal with the Los Angeles Clippers. Martin, who chose to play in China during the lockout, was recently granted permission by FIBA to return to the NBA immediately instead of having to wait until the end of the Chinese basketball season.
Martin has averaged 13.5 ppg and 7.2 rpg over his 11-year NBA career. The Clippers were in desperate need of a capable back up big man for starters Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan. Martin is also a close friend of Clippers guard Chauncey Billups as the two were teammates previously in Denver.
