Last summer we brought you the news of baseball Hall of Fame pitcher (and thrower of 7 career no-hitters) Nolan Ryan’s “Throwin’ Smoke” BBQ sauce. Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander doesn’t have as many no-hitters as Ryan but he does have two things Ryan doesn’t, American League Cy Young and MVP awards. Verlander also has a cereal that bears his name, with the proceeds going to charity.

The Detroit Tigers pitcher recently announced the sale of Fastball Flakes, which are available in the Detroit area at all Meijer stores and online. He’s supporting the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center in Detroit and the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, which together serve almost 800,000 veterans in Michigan.

If you’re not in the Detroit area Fastball Flakes can be purchased here as a two-pack for $10.00 or for $18.99 you can get one box of cereal and this t-shirt.

Disclaimer: Eating Fastball Flakes does not guarantee you the ability to throw 100-mph fastballs, win an AL Cy Young or MVP award, or lead Major League Baseball in wins and strikeouts.
