Are You From HERE?
Under Armour is on an impressive run of producing quality hoops commercials with their “Are You From HERE?” campaign. Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings talked about growing up in Compton in his featured ad. Kemba Walker of the Charlotte Bobcats shows us New York City in his commercial. Minnesota Timberwolves forward Derrick Williams takes us to the gym of La Mirada High School to tell us where he’s from.
Williams averaged 19 points & 8 rebounds per game last year and won the Pac-10 Player of the Year Award at the University of Arizona. He’ll head into his first NBA season among the frontrunners for the Rookie of the Year Award. Fellow Under Armour man Kemba Walker should be included in that group as well and if one of them wins the award I’m sure the creative masterminds at UA will give us yet another quality commercial as a tribute.
