In a candid moment,Victor Ortiz admitted he tried to break Floyd Mayweather‘s nose when he gave the infamous headbutt prior to getting KO’d in their September 17th bout. During this interview, Ortiz blames elbows and dirty boxing for his decision to headbutt Mayweather.
This explanation seems manufactured by management and promoters and is quite deplorable if they are trying to keep Ortiz in the cash cow limelight. I thought a loss to Mayweather would not affect big money fights for Ortiz, but it stands to reason a loss to Andre Berto on February 11th could put the big money fights on a brief hiatus.
