According to Y! Sports, the Boston Celtics will be sending forward Glen Davis in a sign-and-trade to the Orlando Magic for forward Brandon Bass. Davis, at 25 years old, averaged 11.4 ppg and 5.4 rpg in 78 games (13 starts) for the Celtics. Bass, 26, contributed a similar 11.2 ppg and 5.6 boards in 76 games (51 starts) for the Magic.
Davis was a free agent after making $3.3 million for the 2010-2011 season. Bass has 2 years, $8 million remaining on his contract, with a player option for the 2012-2013 season. He can become a free agent next summer if he so chooses.
