Alabama defeated Auburn 42-14 in the Iron Bowl today to all but assure themselves a place in the BCS Championship game. Many felt if Crimson Tide running back Trent Richardson had a big game on the big stage it would go along way in strengthening his case for the Heisman Trophy. On the day Richardson had 203 yards on 27 carries (7.5 avg), including this 57 yard run that both Verne Lundquist and Gary Danielson felt was Heisman worthy. He also had a 5 yard TD reception.
For the season Richardson has 1,583 yards and 20 TD’s rushing, 327 yards to go along with 3 TD’s receiving, and this moment against Ole Miss.
Andrew Luck and Robert Griffin III….your move gentlemen.
