Lasting impression

Deron Williams was one of the first players to jump overseas during the NBA lockout and appears to have made quite an impression. During a farewell ceremony, Williams’ jersey was retired by his Turkish team Besiktas after 12 games in which Williams’ averaged a little over 21 ppg and 6.8 apg. Here’s video:

One of the highlights of Deron Williams stint in Turkey was this 50-point performance he had about a week ago. Williams was making around $200k per month in Turkey. With the NBA lockout ending, Williams is returning to the States to prepare for the upcoming season with the New Jersey Nets.

Williams is also a free agent after the 2012 NBA season.
