With the team formerly known as the Florida Marlins set to officially become the Miami Marlins Friday, details of their rumored changes have been flying around the web. We previously mentioned details about their name change here. Many other sources have posted images of a monstrosity that will be in the outfield (cover your eyes when the Marlins hit a home run). Now leaking are images of what the Miami Marlins will be sporting when they take the field. Here are some pictures:
The white jerseys with the orange trim are decent. Even the black hats with the “M” logo are a solid design. But those orange jerseys? Do. Not. Want. No sir.
The Marlins are also said to be courting prize free agent shortstop Jose Reyes after already trading for feisty White Sox manager Ozzie Guillen to set the tone for the franchise in the clubhouse. One thing is for certain, the 2012 Marlins already look to be a colorful bunch.
