Major League Baseball Announces New Collective Bargaining Agreement

While NBA owners and players are staring each other down in an effort to make the other blink first Major League Baseball announced a new labor deal that will be in effect until 2016. MLB lost its postseason in 1994 and the 1995 season was reduced to 144 games due to a work stoppage but games haven’t been threatened since. Baseball has had its problems recently, most notably performance enhancing drugs/steroids, but will have over 20 years of labor peace when the new deal expires.
