Chris Anderson didn’t head over to China with what seems like half of the Denver Nuggets squad to hoop it up this season. While other NBA players have been making appearances on Law & Order, Family Feud, and Sesame Street Birdman has been keeping more of a low profile. He’s been working on his game a bit and, according to an interview he did with SLAM Online, getting the ball rolling on a television show.
SLAM: A lot of NBA guys have been playing in streetball games this summer. Not you. Why? What have you been up to instead?
CA: I’m actually from the woods down in Texas. I’ve been training and whatnot about basketball, but also I’m trying to start a hunting show right now. So I’m out in the woods with Converse.
SLAM: A hunting show?
CA: It’s gonna be called “Willie B and the Good Ole Boys.” Basically with all my friends I grew up with down in Texas, and it’s going to be celebrity rednecks that do crazy, dumb stuff…hopefully I get sponsored by Converse.
I’m thinking Jackassin the woods. I can almost picture the show intro, complete with theme music, now. It’s good to see Anderson still hangs out with the fellas he grew up with, can’t forget about them when you make it big and become famous. Birdman will probably need to do as good a job selling the idea to Converse as he does swatting shots into the 4th row to get them to sign off on it but you never know right till you try right?
