Last month we brought you the list of MLB’s Meanest Players, per a Sports Illustrated poll. The popular magazine has this time asked 287 NFL players for their take on football’s meanest player. Once again the results were given in the form of a slide show, but here’s how the voting went.

Was there any doubt James Harrison would be #1? Tony Dungy would probably agree with Suh holding down the #3 spot. Richard Seymour did punch Ben Roethlisberger that time so I can see how he would earn a spot on the list. Back in 2009 Richie Incognito was voted the dirtiest player in the league in a mid-season report conducted by Sporting News. Terrell Suggs isn’t against coughing up money for fines if it means he got in a good shot on a quarterback.
Unless you’re a Steelers fan it might be near impossible to say the name Hines Ward without adding the words “cheap shot” shortly thereafter. This may have something to do with why LaRon Landry’s name was included. Olin Kreutz has reportedly broken the jaws of his own teammates….twice.
Cortland Finnegan played with a boulder-sized chip on his shoulder until Andre Johnson knocked it off.
