During this week’s Monday Night Football game, New York Jets star cornerback Darrelle Revis picked off a Matt Moore pass to a stumbling Brandon Marshall and returned it 100 yards for a TD. Here is video of the play in question:
Earlier today, Revis was discussing the play above with host Mike Francesa on WFAN in New York. The discussion got a bit heated and resulted in Revis abruptly hanging up on the show. Watch:
Well then. In my opinion the play shouldn’t have been flagged for pass interference as Marshall was attempting to muscle Revis into the end zone and failed miserably, therefore leaving his QB out to dry.
And as the old saying goes, it’s only illegal if you get caught. No flag, no penalty. Was Revis unprofessional for hanging up? Maybe so, but a man can only take so much badgering before getting annoyed. It happens.
