With the owners and players union still at a negotiating stand still and the first two weeks of the season cancelled, blue-collar NBA team staff members are suffering. Typically this time of year arenas are hosting pre-season games and many employees depend on the generated revenue to feed their families. Indiana Pacers forward Danny Granger tweeted this offer to Conseco Fieldhouse workers Sunday night:
While one dinner may not be much in the grand scheme of things, the gesture at least shows the staff of the arena that some players do care about more than themselves. Kudos to Danny Granger. Hopefully he makes good on his offer, even if the lockout somehow is ended soon.
