Apparently even back ups have some clout these days. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Vince Young is said to have an impersonator running around the Washington D.C. area posing as him and taking advantage of unknowing fans, per this report from NBC Washington:
Someone is impersonating Vince Young in Prince George’s County, Md., according to the agency that represents the veteran NFL quarterback.
“I heard that he has been taking money, taking pictures with little kids at hospitals,” Young said on Monday. “It’s been real sick.”
EAG Sports Management company said in an email that it had become aware of a man posing as the quarterback in the D.C. area. According to EAG Sports Management agency, since June the man was collecting money for appearances as the quarterback, “conning unsuspecting women and some men into believing his scam.”

If you read NBC’s report, it’s even funnier that they refer to Vince Young as a “third stringer”. Ina ll seriousness hopefully the impersonator is caught quickly so the unsuspecting fans in the D.C. area will no longer be victims of his scams.
I guess things like this come with the territory of being a member of a “Dream Team”, as VY once called the 2011 Eagles, who have started the season 1-1. Keep dreaming Vince, keep dreaming.
