Love him or hate him?

Few sports talk radio hosts strike an accord like Dan Le Batard of 790 “The Ticket” in Miami. You either like him or your hate him, there’s generally no in-between. If you’re in the south Florida area you can listen to his show weekday afternoons from 3-7 on WAXY 790. If you’re not, you can see him on ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption as he frequently makes appearances on that show as well.

Beginning September 12th he will have his own television show, which will air on ESPN2, called Dan Le Batard Is Highly Questionable . ESPN Media Zone gives a brief description of the show as:

Le Batard, a frequent guest host on PTI, will bring an innovative and comedic approach to sports commentary and will offer a critical – and sometimes controversial – perspective on the world of professional sports. Known for being a thoughtful and witty contrarian, Le Batard is not afraid to speak his mind and let his innate Miami and Cuban-American flavor shine through, which will be apparent in the fast-paced show.

Dan Le Batard is Highly Questionable will also feature Le Batard’s father, Gonzalo Le Batard, as well as special guests to add different, more sensible, points of view. Over four segments, the show will ask or answer a series of questions about the most topical stories of the day.

Le Batard is known for his rants, but this seven minute long unabated bashing of the Bulls, Derrick Rose, and city of Chicago might be his best yet. Chicago Bulls fans surely won’t think so.

In case you didn’t hear his initial one from shortly after the Heat inked Bosh and James to play along side Wade, here it is.

After the Heat made quick work of the Celtics in the second round Le Batard once again revved up the vocal cords for another one.

Only time will tell if he can carry a television show on ESPN2 like he carries a radio show. But if he brings this kind of energy, like him or not, he’s going to get viewers and alot of them.
